Lake George Youth Commission Soccer Program
The Lake George Youth Commission soccer program is a developmental program designed to teach basic skills and rules of the game in a fun, healthy environment.
The LGYC soccer program is a Lake George town program.
It is not associated with the Lake George Elementary School.
Registration:
- $65/player.
- All PreK-6 players will receive a LGYC t-shirt and a soccer ball.
- T-shirts: If you bypass the shirt size selection, your child may not receive a shirt. If a shirt needs to be order after the team orders, you may be charged the cost shipping & handling . If you order the wrong size and need to order a second shirt you may be charged the cost of the shirt & shipping & handling.
- Registration fees are used to off-set the cost of field maintenance, insurance, shirts, uniforms, etc.
- Late Registration: September 1st - 6th, $75pp, (*please note: late registration does not guarantee a tee shirt or a ball).
Games/Practices:
- All games and practices are held on the Lake George Recreation Soccer Fields.
- Players in grades 1-6 should expect a minimum of 1-2 practices each week depending on weather and coaching availability.
- Soccer Clinics are held on Saturdays for PreK-K players.
- Games are played on Saturdays, although some games may be slated during the week.
- The season begins in late-August and runs until October 31st.
Coaching:
- The LGYC is in search of coaches.
- Please only volunteer to coach if you can commit to the season.
- If interested in coaching click on yes when registering the player.
- All coaches & assistant coaches must be registered with MyRec.com.
- Registering to coach or to assist in coaching does not guarantee a position as a coach or an assistant coach.
- LGYC Sports Director has final say in all coaching positions.
- All coaches receive equipment bags containing soccer balls, cones, first aid kit, and pinnies.
